This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you when you use the Heart Of The House app and related services.
Information we collect
- Account information such as your email address, name, authentication details needed to sign you in, verification status, password reset information, and account support messages.
- Home-related content you choose to add, including home names, addresses, home profile details, tasks, reminders, projects, supplies, notes, House Log or home history entries, equipment records, model numbers, serial numbers, reorder links, related home-maintenance records, and chat content.
- Photos you optionally upload for help, analysis, or recordkeeping, such as equipment labels, home details, supplies, projects, or other household context.
- Subscription status, plan, usage, and entitlement information needed to provide paid features and enforce plan limits.
- Device, usage, diagnostic, reliability, and security information such as app version, platform, approximate event timing, error details, and information needed to monitor abuse or service health.
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, personalize, and improve Heart Of The House.
- Sync and show your saved home data, tasks, projects, supplies, notes, House Log entries, equipment records, and chat content across supported devices.
- Support AI/chat features, home-aware suggestions, and requested photo analysis.
- Support home sharing and collaboration features when you choose to share a home or invite members, including multi-home care.
- Send transactional emails and account notices such as verification, password reset, support, security, billing, and account-related messages.
- Send product updates, feature announcements, offers, or subscription options to your account email unless you unsubscribe from those emails.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, debug issues, monitor reliability, and understand whether features are working as intended.
Service providers and third parties
We use service providers to operate Heart Of The House. These providers may support hosting, database and file storage, email delivery, analytics and diagnostics, subscriptions and entitlement management, customer support, and AI/chat functionality. They may process information only as needed to provide those services to us.
The app may also link to third-party retailers or external services, such as when you open a reorder link or retailer search. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Sharing features
If you share a home or invite someone to join a home, data associated with that shared home may be visible to those members. This can include home details, tasks, projects, supplies, notes, House Log entries, equipment records, photos, and other content saved to that home. Be thoughtful about what you add to a shared home.
Subscriptions and purchases
Mobile subscriptions and billing are handled by Apple or Google, depending on your device. Other supported purchase paths may be handled by payment or subscription providers. We receive subscription status, entitlement, plan, renewal, and related identifiers needed to provide paid features, but we do not receive full payment card details.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and app data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can delete your account in the app from Settings, or see Delete Account for detailed instructions. When account deletion is confirmed, we delete the account and associated app data from active systems, subject to limited retention where required for legal, security, backup, billing, dispute-resolution, or operational reasons.
Your choices
You can update certain account information in the app, manage email preferences from Settings, request support by email, and delete your account as described above.
Product update and offer emails include an unsubscribe link. Transactional messages, such as verification, password reset, billing, security, and account notices, may still be sent when needed.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect the information we maintain. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
